Hornets.com 1-on-1: Milwaukee’s Mo Williams
January 22, 2008
![]() Unless you attend Milwaukee Bucks home games or regularly surf YouTube for NBA videos, you probably aren’t aware of this, but guard Mo Williams hosts a periodic 90-second segment called “The Mo Williams Show.” His tongue-in-cheek, “hard-hitting” interviews appear at Milwaukee’s Bradley Center during timeouts. Hornets.com caught up Williams to ask the 6-foot-1 fifth-year pro a few questions about his budding TV career: Hornets.com: So, do you have any plans to expand “The Mo Williams Show” to a half-hour show, or maybe take it nationally? Williams: [trying to keep a straight face] I think we should definitely take it national. [teammate Bobby Simmons interjects: “Mo’s going to compete with Seinfeld!”] I want to challenge the Jay Lenos and Seinfelds of the world. It’s been going great and getting a lot of publicity. Hornets.com: Who has been your favorite guest on the show so far? Williams: I would say Bobby Simmons, and guys like David Noel and Royal Ivey. They always have a lot of fun with it. Hornets.com: Who have you NOT had on the show that you would be excited about inviting? Williams: Our coaches and (Chinese rookie) Yi (Jianlian). Yi would be a good one. Hornets.com: Time to ask you some “Mo Williams Show”-style questions. More underrated: Mo Williams or David West? Williams: [slight pause] Both. Hornets.com: Tyra Banks or Oprah (as a talk-show host)? Williams: Oprah. Hornets.com: Tom Coughlin or Bill Belichick? Williams: Bill Belichick, because he gets it done. He’s a winner. Hornets.com: Chris Paul or Deron Williams. Williams: [slight pause] Both. Hornets.com: OK Mo, last one. Eli Manning in the Super Bowl, or Tony Romo NOT in the Super Bowl, but he’s with Jessica Simpson? Williams: [laughs] Tony Romo with Jessica Simpson. |
