ASSISTANT COACH KENNY GATTISON NOT TO
RETURN TO HORNETS BENCH
June 5, 2008
The current contract of New Orleans Hornets assistant coach Kenny Gattison will expire at the end of June 2009. At that point, the Hornets and Gattison have mutually agreed to allow him to pursue other opportunities.
“Kenny has been an integral part of our system and our success for the last five seasons,” said Head Coach Byron Scott. “We wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.”
Gattison joined the Hornets organization in 2003-04 as an assistant coach and was the first hire for Scott when he was named head coach in May 2004. Gattison enjoyed a nine-year career playing in the NBA, including six seasons with the Hornets.
