Key Matchup vs. Sacramento Kings: Kemba Walker vs. Darren Collison

The Charlotte Hornets will look to rebound from a tough loss in Detroit as they head west to do battle with the Sacramento Kings on Saturday afternoon. After going through a bit of a slump earlier this month, NBA All-Star Kemba Walker looks to have gotten back on track for the Hornets lately. The sixth-year veteran is averaging 29.0 points on 55.8 percent shooing (50.0 percent from three-point range), 6.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.0 steals over his last three games for Charlotte.
With DeMarcus Cousins (traded) and Rudy Gay (torn Achilles) out of the picture, Darren Collison has assumed the role as Sacramento’s leading-scorer moving forward. An eighth-year veteran from UCLA, Collison has been sensational lately for the Kings, posting averages of 17.9 points on 49.6 percent shooting, 5.2 assists and 1.6 steals through nine games this month. The Kings point guard is also currently seventh overall in the NBA in three-point percentage this year (career-high 42.6 percent), which includes a mark of 46.9 percent in February (15-of-32).
Limiting Collison’s space and facilitating abilities will play a big part in whether or not the Charlotte Hornets can snap their 12-game road losing streak with a victory against the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center on Saturday afternoon.
