Hornets Recall Harrison and Wood from Greensboro

November 20, 2016 – Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho announced today that the team has recalled guard Aaron Harrison and forward Christian Wood from the Greensboro Swarm, the team’s NBA Development League affiliate.

Harrison (6-6, 212, Kentucky) is in his second year with the Hornets and has appeared in one regular-season game so far this season totaling one rebound and one assist in three minutes of play.  On assignment in Greensboro, Harrison played in two games (starting both) and recorded averages of 22.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals in 40.2 minutes per game.

Wood (6-11, 220, University of Nevada-Las Vegas), is in his first year with the Hornets after signing as a free agent on July 14, 2016 after spending his rookie year with the Philadelphia 76ers. The second-year forward has appeared in one regular season game for the Hornets this season grabbing two rebounds in three minutes of play.  On assignment in Greensboro, Wood played in two games (starting in both contests) and averaged 21.5 points, 12.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 39.5 minutes per game.

The assignment of Harrison and Wood for the past two Greensboro Swarm games marked the Hornets first D-League assignment team’s inception.
