Hornets Assign Harrison and Wood Back to Greensboro

December 7, 2016 – Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho announced today that the team has assigned guard Aaron Harrison and forward Christian Wood to the Greensboro Swarm, the team’s NBA Development League affiliate.

Harrison (6-6, 212, Kentucky) is in his second year with the Hornets and has appeared in four regular-season games, tallying his first point and assist of the year at Memphis on Nov. 28. The 22-year-old has had two stints with the Swarm this season, appearing in four games (four starts), averaging 24.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.3 steals in 41.2 minutes per game. Harrison logged 31 points on 10-of-16 from the field, three rebounds and three steals vs. Erie on Nov. 25.

Wood (6-11, 220, University of Nevada-Las Vegas), is in his first year with the Hornets after signing as a free agent on July 14, 2016 after spending his rookie year with the Philadelphia 76ers. The second-year forward has appeared in one regular season game for the Hornets this season grabbing two rebounds in three minutes of play. This marks Wood’s second D-League assignment of the year, appearing in two games (two starts) during his first stretch with Greensboro, averaging 21.6 points, 12.0 boards and 2.0 blocks in 39.5 minutes per contest.

Since the inception of the Swarm, the team has now totaled five player assignments to their D-League affiliate.
