On January 16, the Bobcats and Walgreens kicked off their five-week Dunk Hunger Cereal Drive by adding a new structure to the Trade Street Entrance of Time Warner Cable® Arena. Thirty volunteers from Walgreens, Second Harvest Food Bank and Odell architecture firm built the “Corner of Happy and Healthy” with 6,000 boxes of cereal. The structure took over 12 hours to complete and is a constant reminder for Bobcats fans to help us Dunk Hunger by bringing a box cereal to our games.
The Dunk Hunger Cereal Drive will take place at Time Warner Cable® Arena and 15 participating Walgreens stores. Every fan that donates a box of cereal will receive a ticket to enter to win two courtside seats to the Chicago Bulls game on April 16. If you forget to bring a box, no problem! You can purchase a cereal voucher at various locations throughout the arena, so you don’t miss out on a chance to sit courtside for the last Bobcats game of the regular season. All cereal donated and proceeds raised, including the 6,000 boxes used to build the “Corner of Happy and Healthy,” will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.

Please don’t forget to bring a box of cereal to the next home game. Help us reach our goal of 10,000 boxes of cereal, so we can DUNK HUNGER in the Charlotte community!
