The Bobcats partnered with Charlotte Family Housing during the Denver Nuggets game on Monday, March 10. Charlotte Family Housing empowers homeless families to achieve long-term self-sufficiency through shelter, housing, support services and advocacy. Families served by Charlotte Family Housing receive customized support focusing on each family’s strengths and capabilities to map out a path to self-sufficiency.

Did you know...

  • Each year, the combination of low wages, high urban housing costs and generational poverty leaves hundreds of working families in Charlotte’s homeless shelters.
  • The majority of families referred to Charlotte Family Housing are single moms with an average of two children, earning $8 to $9 per hour working as teacher aids, school cafeteria workers and elderly caregivers.

You can support Charlotte Family Housing!  Make a donation, inquire about volunteer opportunities and attend the CFH Yellow Brick Road event on Sunday, April 6 from 2-5 p.m. at Plaza Place Shelter—a free family-fun walk to help solve family homelessness in our community. Visit CFHYellowBrickRoad.org to register and learn more.

At tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, we will be partnering with the Humane Society of Charlotte, so be sure to swing by the Bobcats Community Corner located across from section 112 in Time Warner Cable® Arena.

Care. Serve. Repeat.
