The Charlotte Bobcats today released their 2012-13 preseason schedule, which is highlighted by a pair of regional home contests in the Carolinas. In addition to the previously-announced matchup with the defending NBA Champion Miami Heat in Raleigh, N.C. on Tuesday, Oct. 23, the Bobcats will also face the New Orleans Hornets on Thursday, Oct. 11 in Charleston, S.C.
Tickets for the game in Raleigh, which is presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, range from $7.50-$115 and are on sale now at the PNC Arena and Time Warner Cable Arena box offices, online at bobcats.com or via Ticketmaster.
Tickets for the game in Charleston range from $16-$116 and will go on sale to the general public at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 20, at the North Charleston Coliseum and Time Warner Cable Arena box offices, online at bobcats.com or via Ticketmaster.
The eight-game slate opens at home with a 1:00 p.m. contest against the Washington Wizards on Sunday, Oct. 7. The schedule then includes a pair of games against the Hornets on Tuesday, Oct. 9 in New Orleans and on Thursday, Oct. 11 in Charleston. After that, the Bobcats will play a pair of road games, visiting the reigning Western Conference Champion Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, Oct. 16 and the Detroit Pistons on Saturday, Oct. 20, before going to Raleigh to face the Heat on Oct. 23. The preseason schedule concludes with a home game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, Oct. 25 and a visit to Dallas to play the Mavericks on Friday, Oct. 26.
The Oct. 25 contest against the Bucks will tip off at 11:00 a.m. as the Bobcats host the 8th annual Cool School Field Trip, presented by Jordan Brand. The game is a reward for middle school students, teachers and administrators from across the Carolinas who display outstanding achievement and character in the classroom. Every student in attendance will receive a workbook to be completed throughout the course of the game with the help of in-arena messages, clues and interviews.

In addition to full season tickets, the “20 Game Pick Plan” allowing buyers to purchase Opening Night and 19 games of their choosing is now available starting at less than $9 per game. Marquee matchups with the Lakers, Heat, Celtics, Knicks, Clippers and Thunder can be selected as part of that plan.
