:24 HOOP: The Wizards have had talent the last couple of years, but a record only around .500. Has this team underachieved?
Jamison: Definitely. In my first year here we made it to the second round of the playoffs, but ever since then, whether because of injuries or not, we haven’t been able to get it done. But it’s been a learning experience.

:23 HOOP: You personally had a huge1 series against the Cavs last playoffs, but you guys were still swept. How difficult was that?
Jamison: It was tough. I know Gilbert [Arenas] and Caron [Butler] wanted to be out there to help, but we had some guys that gave it their all. That’s all you can ask for.

:22 HOOP: Speaking of Gilbert and Caron, where does the Wizards’ trio rank compared to other trios in the NBA?
Jamison: We’re one of the best in the League. We’ve shown that the last couple years. Boston has a new trio that’s playing pretty well. That’s probably the only trio that can match the numbers we put up.

:21 HOOP: If there was a three-on-three tournament, who would give you the biggest challenge?
Jamison: You’d have to go with the Spurs, because they’re proven. They’ve won a championship, so that’s the trio we’d want to knock out.

:20 HOOP: Gilbert has become a “blog superstar” and Caron’s got a video blog now. Where’s Tawn’s Blog?
Jamison: I don’t have time for the blog. I just enjoy reading Gilbert’s blog2 and critiquing his.

:19 HOOP: So give us your review of Gilbert’s blog...
Jamison: It kind of reminds me of the comics in the newspaper on Sundays, always entertaining.

:18 HOOP: Is he as entertaining in person as he is online?
Jamison: What you see on the blog is what you see in real life. He says the first thing that comes to mind. As his big brother, I have to put him in the corner every once in a while, and say, “You can’t say that.”

:17 HOOP: What’s the craziest thing he’s ever done?
Jamison: A year or two ago, when Awvee Storey was on the team, we went on a road trip and somehow he got Awvee’s keys. By the time we got back from the trip, Awvee’s car was on blocks.

:16 HOOP: Does Gilbert yell out Hibachi during practice, too?
Jamison: Oh, yeah. Games and practice. Any opportunity he has to amuse himself, he’s going to take it.

:15 HOOP: Tell us about Caron, what does he mean to this team?
Jamison: Caron is a guy who is going to give you 100 percent night in, night out. He’s one of the toughest guys around. With my leadership and his toughness, and Gilbert’s laid-backness, the chemistry is perfect. But the thing about Caron is that he’s always adding something to his game.

:14 HOOP: How about your game?
Jamison: I’m at the peak. Ten years into the League, I understand what I have to do to be successful and help my teammates. I’m satisfied with where I’m at right now and the situation I’m in. My teammates and the organization respect me. It’s a great fit.

:13 HOOP: Do you expect to re-sign with the Wizards next season?
Jamison: I would love to come back, but it’s just one of those things I’m not thinking about until after the season is over. The Wizards have made me feel welcome from day one, so me not giving them 100 percent of my attention wouldn’t be right.

:12 HOOP: What’s the one stat you look at in the box score and know that you had a good game?
Jamison: Rebounding. If I have 12 or 13 rebounds, I’m really satisfied with my effort, because I know that I was hustling.

:11 HOOP: Does it ever make you feel old to think you’ve been in the League 10 years?
Jamison: I don’t feel old, but it’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years. The last three years, especially, went by so quickly. That’s why you’ve got to cherish every moment.

:10 HOOP: Do people still mispronounce your name?
Jamison: No, most people know its “AN-twon” now.

:09 HOOP: Is it true that the hospital misspelled your name on your birth certificate, and your parents decided to keep it?
Jamison: Yeah, that’s a true story. I just had a son not too long ago, so I had to make sure they spelled his right, Antwan.

:08 HOOP: Did that bother you as a kid?
Jamison: The only time it bothered me was in college. I remember one time, we were playing at Duke and my mom was at the game. There were like 10,000 people yelling, “Your mom can’t spell!” That bothered me because I knew she was going to take it personally.

:07 HOOP: Your mom wrote the “About Antawn” section of your website3, and she said that you’re a junk-food addict.
Jamison: Oh yeah. We’ve got a road trip coming up and I packed Snickers bars, donuts, muffins. I think I get it from my dad, because he has a sweet tooth also. Hopefully it won’t affect my teeth in my 50s or 60s.

:06 HOOP: What’s the toughest for you to resist?
Jamison: After a nice dinner, I’ve got to have some ice cream. And right now, I could eat Famous Amos cookies all day, every day.

:05 HOOP: We hear you used to hide honey buns under your bed.
Jamison: Yeah, I’d go to the grocery store and buy a pack, and then I’d hide them because I didn’t want my brother and sister to find them.

:04 HOOP: What’s under your bed today?
Jamison: Nothing. I’m a clean freak. I like everything nice and neat, the bed made up, the floor vacuumed. So nothing is under my bed right now.

:03 HOOP: Do you sleep on your stomach or your back?4
Jamison: On my side. I can’t sleep on my stomach or my back. Last night I had a problem, though, because my arm kept falling asleep. I wasn’t getting enough circulation.

:02 HOOP: What’s the last dream you had?
Jamison: That I was holding up the NBA Championship. That was an actual dream I had like two days ago. I woke up in a sweat because I actually thought I was out there playing.

:01 HOOP: How about the last nightmare?
Jamison: Something happened to our PR guy. You know, Zach [Bolno; Washington Wizards director of public relations] is my buddy. To some that might not be a nightmare, but I can’t survive without Zach.5
