HEAT Launch HEAT SEATPICK™

Jul 6 2010 10:08AM

MIAMI, FL – In anticipation of the free agency period beginning on July 1 and the increased Season Ticket sales activities expected to follow, the Miami HEAT have announced that they have launched HEAT SeatPick™, a new and proprietary interactive online ticket sales platform that allows fans to access available Season Ticket inventory in real time, experience sightlines with an enhanced 3-D seat viewer, as well as select and purchase their seats with ease and efficiency. Fans can access HEAT SeatPick™ by visiting HEAT.com and clicking on the HEAT SeatPick™ icon located in the content slider element at the top of the HEAT.com homepage.

A HEAT SeatPick™ video demonstration can be viewed by clicking on the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLX_AzdD98U.

“In recent years, consumers have become increasingly comfortable with the secure online purchase of big ticket items, so we designed HEAT SeatPick™ with this trend in mind,” said Eric Woolworth, President of Business Operations for The HEAT Group. “Season Tickets are a substantial investment often accompanied by questions about seat locations, sightlines and inventory, and we believe the platform directly and thoroughly addresses these concerns.”

By using HEAT SeatPick™, prospective Season Ticket holders are given access to available seat inventory in real time. With one simple click, consumers can search for seats by section or by price, or they can survey the entire arena for availability across all price categories. In addition, consumers have access to an enhanced 3-D seat viewer, where they are provided with realistic views based on actual distances from the court. Plus, with HEAT SeatPick™, fans can purchase Season Tickets online at their convenience, 24/7, without the need to talk to a sales representative or delay their purchase for any reason.

The HEAT SeatPick™ interactive platform was spearheaded by Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Tony Coba. Coba leads The HEAT Group’s information technology department, which was recently honored with a 2010 CIO 100 Award. CIO magazine’s CIO 100 Award is given to organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT) through innovative practices and products. The HEAT Group is the first and only professional sports team in the world to have won this prestigious award.

To fully navigate HEAT SeatPick™, consumers may be prompted to download a Microsoft Silverlight plug-in on their initial visit to HEAT SeatPick™. This self-installing plug-in is free and available directly from HEAT.com.

The Miami HEAT is proud to have Assist-Card as the Presenting Sponsor for the 2010-11 season.
