HEAT Announce 2004 Preseason Schedule

MIAMI, August 4 – The Miami HEAT announced their 2004 preseason schedule today, which will open on Sunday, October 10, against Tracy McGrady and the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX. The preseason will conclude on Monday, October 27, with a game against the Orlando Magic at the TD Waterhouse Centre in Orlando, FL.

The seven-game line-up is highlighted by the team’s only contest at the AmericanAirlines Arena, which will take place at 7:30 PM on Monday, October 18 against the Atlanta Hawks. The team will also host two home games in neutral markets. Miami hosts the Orlando Magic on Friday, October 15 at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa. The next night, the club will host the NBA Champion Detroit Pistons at ALLTEL Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Specific local television and radio broadcast schedules for preseason games have yet to be determined. However, TNT will kick off its preseason coverage by televising the HEAT’s contest in Atlanta on October 22.

Tickets to the preseason contest being played at the AmericanAirlines Arena will go on sale at a later date.
