HEAT Signs Anthony Mason Jr.
MIAMI, September 27 The Miami HEAT announced today that they have signed forward Anthony Mason Jr. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mason, the son of former NBA player Anthony Mason, played five seasons (one medical redshirt) for St. John's University appearing in 99 career games (86 starts) and averaged 10.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 29.2 minutes while shooting 40.8 percent from the field, 32.0 percent from three-point range and 71.9 percent from the foul line. He finished fifth on the school's all-time three-point field goals made list after connecting on 120 treys. As a junior, Mason was named to the All-Met First Team and was an All-Big East honorable mention after finishing second on the team in points (307), field goals made (117) and three-point field goals made (37) while finishing third in rebounds (96), assists (51) and steals (22).
