HEAT INVITE FANS TO “WEAR THE RING”
MIAMI – The Miami HEAT is calling on all its fans to “Wear the Ring” by downloading the Official Miami HEAT Mobile App to take advantage of a new Augmented Reality platform. This platform allows users to combine any real photograph taken from a smartphone with fun or informational graphics—in this case, the championship ring, the championship shades, the championship banner and the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
The Miami HEAT partnered with Social Scavenger, a Toronto based mobile marketing company, to design and implement the “Wear the Ring” Augmented Reality platform.
“We understand the value of engaging fans on their mobile devices given that smartphones have become such an integral part of our daily lives,” said Eric Woolworth, President of The HEAT Group’s Business Operations. “‘Wear the Ring’ is another fun and interesting way for HEAT fans to interact with the team.”
The Official Miami HEAT Mobile App is free and currently available for download for Apple iPhones and Android phones through their respective app stores.
"The Augmented Reality feature is a unique way for fans to share in the championship, too,” said Warren Glenn, Co-Founder of Social Scavenger. “This is the first phase of the rollout.
