MIAMI, June 29 – To punctuate their celebration of their first-ever NBA Championship, HEAT players Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem are continuing the merrymaking Monday, July 3 at Walt Disney World Resort and bringing a group of deserving children along for the ride.
MIAMI, June 23 – The NBA definitely has global appeal. That will never be more evident than when the Miami HEAT’s National Basketball Association (NBA) Larry O’Brien Championship trophy embarks on an international cruise-ship tour beginning this weekend.
MIAMI, May 15 – Tuesday, May 16, has been designated White Hot HEAT Day by both the Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Broward County Public Schools. All students, teachers and administrators are encouraged to wear white to support the HEAT during the 2006 NBA Playoffs.
MIAMI, May 1 – The Miami HEAT announced today that they have entered into a partnership with Converse for the remainder of the 2006 HEAT Playoffs. The partnership will begin Monday, May 1 and will last for the duration of the HEAT playoff run.
MIAMI, April 19 – The Miami HEAT announced today the formal unveiling of their 2006 playoff promotional campaign – White Hot. White Hot HEAT is the scientific term when a substance reaches it hottest temperature and glows with a bright white light. Webster’s II New Riverside Dictionary also adds the definition, “A state of intense emotion.” The concept behind White Hot is to establish the color White as a community-wide rallying point; something everyone in South Florida can get behind and participate in. White will not only be the color fans wear to the game, it will become a recognizable symbol of support for the HEAT in all daily activities.
