White Hot HEAT Day: May 22nd

MIAMI, MAY 21 – The Miami HEAT announced today that Thursday, May 22nd has been designated White Hot HEAT Day by both Miami-Dade and Broward County Public Schools. All students, teachers, faculty and administrators are encouraged to wear white to support the HEAT as they take on the Indiana Pacers during the 2014 NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

Students are encouraged to show off their White Hot HEAT Style by sharing photos on Instagram using the hashtag #WhiteHotHEATStyle. All images tagged with the #WhiteHotHEATStyle hashtag will automatically be uploaded to WhiteHotHEATStyle.com presented by Samsung Galaxy.

White Hot HEAT Day will be particularly special for 1,400 disabled students who will celebrate their “I Can Do It, You Can Do It White Hot 10th Anniversary” President's Active Lifestyle Award Presentation at Felix Varela Senior High School from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on May 22nd. The I Can Do It, You Can Do It program is a physical fitness/activity initiative developed by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Office on Disability that links mentors with students with disabilities.
