Wade Expected to Miss 7-10 Days

MIAMI, Mar. 1 - Miami HEAT President Pat Riley announced today that rookie guard Dwyane Wade, who was named the NBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week last week, is expected to miss between seven-to-ten days after suffering a right mid foot bone contusion in yesterday afternoon’s game at Milwaukee. The injury occurred with 1:30 remaining in the first quarter, but Wade returned to action in the second quarter. He came out of the game for good with 5:50 remaining in the third quarter.

Wade has appeared in 42 games this season for the HEAT and has made 40 starts. He has averaged 16.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, a team-high 4.4 assists, a team-high 1.38 steals and 36.0 minutes while shooting a team-high 46.8 percent (270-577) from the floor and 73.2 percent (150-205) from the foul line.
