HEAT.com to Host World Premiere of New HEAT Player Introduction Video

MIAMI, October 31 – The Miami HEAT announced today that HEAT.com will host an exclusive world premiere of the new HEAT player introduction video that will air in the AmericanAirlines Arena prior to HEAT home games this season. The exclusive, internet-only world premiere will air on HEAT.com for only 30 minutes, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on home opening night, Thursday, November 3, 2005. The feature will also serve as the debut of the new HEATV video element on HEAT.com. HEATV video will allow website visitors to access and view exclusive HEAT video features and highlight packages from the front page of HEAT.com.

Set to the brooding, emotionally charged song “In The Air Tonight” by multi-platinum artist Phil Collins, this video feature captures the moment as the HEAT players emerge from the locker room and make their way to the court. Prior to the video, fans will see a short film featuring behind the scenes footage of the video shoot, including interviews and comments from HEAT All-Stars Shaquille O’Neal and Dwyane Wade. After the 30 minute viewing period, the video feature will be removed from HEAT.com and will thereafter only be seen in the arena.

The player introduction video further establishes the benchmark set by the HEAT for this important in-game element and continues the HEAT tradition of marrying player images with driving music tracks. Last season’s “Red Carpet” player introduction video, which showed HEAT players arriving to the game via a red carpet entry, was set to the Latin track “Descarga Gusano” by the locally based Spam All-Stars. Previous player introduction videos featured “Lose Yourself” by Eminem, “Crazy in Love” by Beyoncé, and “Are You Gonna Go My Way” by Lenny Kravitz.
