Malik Allen Has Successful Surgery

MIAMI, Dec. 1 – The Miami HEAT announced today that Malik Allen underwent successful surgery this morning. Allen had micro discectomy surgery at South Miami Hospital, with the hour-long procedure being performed by Dr. Joe Traina. He is expected to be out six to eight weeks.

Allen has appeared in 10 games for the HEAT this season, averaging 7.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in 20.2 minutes per game. He was placed on the injured list with back spasms on November 23, 2004.
