“25 Years of HEAT” Featuring P.J. Brown – March 12

MIAMI, March 11 – As part of its ongoing special retrospective welcoming back HEAT fan favorites, the next installment of 25 Years of HEAT will feature P.J. Brown on March 12 when the HEAT take on the Atlanta Hawks. Brown will share his memories with HEAT fans by participating in various pre-game, in-game and on-court activities, including:

• A pre-game appearance on Sun Sports’ HEAT Live show.
• Interviews on English and Spanish HEAT pre-game radio broadcasts.
• An in-arena halftime interview at center court.
• Special guest commentator duties during the Sun Sports television broadcast.
• A pre-game meet and greet opportunity exclusively for HEAT Season Ticket Holders.

Brown appeared in 1,089 career NBA games (990 starts) and averaged 9.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.02 blocks and 31.1 minutes while shooting 46 percent from the field. The 15-year veteran played four seasons in Miami, appearing in 284 games (275 starts) and averaged 9.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.07 blocks and 31.2 minutes while shooting 47.2 percent from the field. He earned NBA All-Defensive Second Team honors with the HEAT during both the 1996-97 and 1998-99 seasons. The HEAT made the playoffs in each of his four seasons, including a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals in 1997, as he appeared in 35 career postseason contests with Miami (all starts) and averaged 8.4 points, 8.2 rebounds and 31.2 minutes while shooting 43.8 percent from the field. Among the HEAT’s all-time lists, he ranks fifth in offensive rebounds (805), sixth in blocked shots (305), eighth in total rebounds (2,251), ninth in defensive rebounds (1,446), 10th in games started (275), 10th in double-doubles (69), 13th in minutes played (8,867), 15th in field goals made (1,129), 15th in games played (284), 16th in steals (262), 16th in free throws made (545), 17th in double-figure scoring efforts (149) and 19th in points (2,803).
