Sunshine to Produce and Air All-New Behind-the-Scenes TV Series “Inside the HEAT”

Nine half-hour episodes are scheduled for production between now and the end of May. Each episode will turn the spotlight on a different HEAT personality, and focus on their lives on and off the basketball court.

“This is a terrific opportunity for HEAT fans to see their favorite players in off-the-court environments for added insight into what their lives are really like away from basketball,” said Cathy Weeden, Sunshine Network’s vice president and general manager. “In developing this new series with the team, we were looking to provide fans with something no other media outlet can provide and to provide additional value to our viewers, our advertisers and our cable and satellite distributors. We believe this new series will complement our extensive coverage of HEAT basketball on Sunshine and give fans something special.”

The premiere episode of INSIDE THE HEAT debuts Saturday, November 30, at 6:30pm (ET). Sunshine Network’s HEAT announcers Eric Reid and Jason Jackson will host episodes.

The addition of Sunshine’s new INSIDE THE HEAT series complements the network’s most comprehensive Miami HEAT telecast schedule ever, with 70 regular season games scheduled to air on Sunshine Network this season.
