HEATV Dominates 2006 Idea Conference “Golden Matrix Awards”Mar 1 2006 9:41AM
MIAMI, February 28 – HEATV, the in-house broadcast production arm of The HEAT Group, walked away with four “Golden Matrix Awards” at the 2006 IDEA Conference held recently in Los Angeles, CA. The “Golden Matrix Awards” are considered the “Academy Awards” of the electronic display industry. Over 100 professional and collegiate teams attended the 2006 IDEA Conference and there were more than 200 Golden Matrix Awards entries.
In winning the four awards, HEATV became the only organization to win multiple awards at the 2006 IDEA Conference. HEATV, led by Ed Filomia, Senior Director of Broadcast Services for The HEAT Group, won the following “Golden Matrix Awards”: Best Overall Video Display – All Sports Best Overall Video Display - Basketball Best In-Game Feature (the best pre-produced in-game feature) - :60 Seconds with Damon Jones” and “:60 Seconds with Traci Young” produced and edited by Jeanette Farach and Tai Cumming. Assisted by Chris Rivera, Mauricio Estrada, Darin Fauver and Andre Paul. Best Original Matrix and Fascia Board Animation (the best pre-produced graphics and animations created entirely in-house for matrix or fascia boards) – Kristin Territo and Andre Paul IDEA, the Information Display and Entertainment Association, is an international association of electronic display system and scoreboard operators. IDEA encompasses all branches of the sports, entertainment and convention industries, and the annual “Golden Matrix Awards” recognize artistic and technical excellence in the programming of large screen video and matrix displays located at stadiums, arenas, racetracks, convention centers and other public assembly facilities. |
