HEAT Signs Promotional Agreement with 560 WQAM-AM

560 WQAM-AM MIAMI, January 11 – The Miami HEAT has signed a three-year promotional agreement with Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM, a Beasley Broadcast Group station. Every Wednesday morning from 8:30-9:00AM., WQAM’s Hank Goldberg will host a Miami HEAT Show featuring basketball legends such as Miami HEAT President Pat Riley, General Manager Randy Pfund, and HEAT players including Shaquille O’Neal, Dwyane Wade and Alonzo Mourning. Additionally, on-air host Howard David will be joined Wednesdays at 3:30PM by Miami HEAT television announcer Eric Reid.

The promotional agreement also gives WQAM privileges at the AmericanAirlines Arena, including the opportunity to broadcast live before HEAT games and to lead special online and on-air events and promotions in coordination with the team. In addition, WQAM will have electronic signage on the wraparound at the Arena, on the scoreboard, on the concourse and in the parking garage.

Commenting on the deal, Joe Bell, General Manager of Beasley’s Miami cluster, noted, “We are excited to be working closely with the Miami HEAT’s talented athletes and management. We look forward to featuring some of the HEAT’s stars on our live shows and working together to bring more fans to the events. We have supported the team for years and look forward to being actively involved in the Miami basketball community as the HEAT makes a drive to win the 2005-2006 NBA Championship.”
