HEAT Request Waivers on Isaac Austin

MIAMI, Oct. 20 - Miami HEAT President and Head Coach Pat Riley announced this afternoon that the team has requested waivers on center Isaac Austin.

Austin, who was signed as a free agent by the HEAT on Sept. 29, 2003, appeared in two of Miami’s six preseason contests and averaged 0.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 9.5 minutes. He totaled one point, four rebounds, one assist and one block in 19 minutes while shooting 0-1 (.000) from the floor and 1-2 (.500) from the foul line.

With the departure of Austin, Miami’s roster now stands at 16 players.
