HEAT Entertainment Teams Take Over NBA All-Star Weekend

MIAMI, February 14 – Shaquille O’Neal and Dwyane Wade won’t be the only HEAT stars performing in Houston during NBA All-Star Weekend.

The NBA has tapped the Miami HEAT Dancers and the HEAT Golden Oldies to perform during NBA All-Star Saturday Night and the NBA All-Star Game next Sunday. Joining the HEAT Dancers and the Golden Oldies in Houston will be the hottest DJ in the NBA, Miami’s own DJ Irie. DJ Irie will once again serve as the DJ for the NBA Jam Session center-court activities. Larry Blocker, the Director of Game Operations and Events for the HEAT, will direct all of the NBA Jam Session center-court activities. Center-court is the main stage area for the NBA Jam Session and is the location of the East and West All-Star Team practice session, the Rookie/Sophomore Team practice event, the ESPN Celebrity All-Star Game, the Celebrity Slam Dunk contest, the Celebrity Skills Challenge, the Celebrity Shootout and the NBA Legends Shootout activities. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Larry has been charged with directing these All-Star Weekend activities.

The HEAT Dancers will perform multiple routines during the ESPN Celebrity Game on Friday evening, the NBA All-Star Saturday Night event and the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday and will make several appearances while in Houston, while the Golden Oldies will bring the house down with a special performance during Sunday’s All-Star Game.
