Recipes For Success Takes Players, Coaches & Broadcasters Off The Court And Into The Kitchen In An Unique Seven-Part Series

MIAMI 3/8 - The Miami HEAT, Levy Restaurants and broadcast partner Sun Sports have collaborated on an exciting initiative that will give fans the unique opportunity to sample some of the favorite foods of HEAT players, coaches and broadcasters.

First appearing at the HEAT vs. Atlanta game on March 6, the Recipes For Success initiative launched on a host of media platforms, including the team’s website, HEAT.com, its game-day TIPOFF magazine, and on HEATV.  The cooking features, which were created by the Emmy Award winning HEAT broadcast team, will air during halftime and in the HEAT LIVE post-game shows on Sun Sports, and will also be featured here on HEAT.com and on FoxSportsFlorida.com.

In addition, fans at the game who dine in the Flagship and Dewars’ 12 Lounges will have the chance to sample the delicious creations firsthand, as Levy Restaurants will include the featured recipe as part of their nightly menu. High-end souvenir recipe cards have also been created for fans dining in the lounges so they can enjoy the various Recipes for Success at home.

Goya is the presenting sponsor for the Recipes For Success series at the AmericanAirlines Arena, HEAT.com, and in TIPOFF magazine.

Emmy-award winning host and HEAT / Sun Sports Courtside Reporter Jason Jackson shares center stage in the pieces alongside the new Executive Chef at AmericanAirlines Arena, Eric Chopin. Chopin, a native of Brittany, France, is a graduate of the Belliard Cooking School and was most recently the executive chef at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Atlanta before being chosen to lead the culinary staff at AmericanAirlines Arena in 2009.

Jackson and Chopin team up with seven different players, coaches and broadcasters to create a diverse menu of dishes from a variety of cultures.  The array of recipes include kitchen classics like macaroni and cheese, pasta salad, and other unique and exotic meals such as curry chicken and shrimp enchiladas, jambalaya and oxtail. This month long series is sure to tickle the taste buds of every type of palette imaginable.

The story behind each recipe along with easy to follow preparation and ingredient instructions can be found in TIPOFF magazine.  The entire series of recipes, stories and vignettes can also be found at HEAT.com by searching for Recipes For Success under the promotions drop down menu.
