HEAT To Go "Back to School" With Office Depot

MIAMI, August 16 - The NBA Champion Miami HEAT will kick off the 2012-13 school year in Broward County by welcoming back the students and teachers at Orange Brook Elementary on Monday, August 20th from 7:30 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. HEAT players Norris Cole and Dexter Pittman along with HEAT front office staff will help distribute 900 sackpacks filled with school supplies to students entering the school, courtesy of the Office Depot Foundation. Broward County Public Schools Superintendent Robert W. Runcie will also be in attendance. HEAT mascot Burnie will provide entertainment.

“The Miami HEAT are not only champions on the basketball court, but also champions of back-to-school at Orange Brook Elementary School,” said Runcie. “We are very grateful for the HEAT and their partners for the donations of school supplies for every student in the school. We truly appreciate their generosity."

Monday’s Back to School event is co-sponsored by COWs - Container On Wheels mobile storage, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and Del Monte Fresh Produce.

Orange Brook Elementary is located at 715 South 46th Avenue, Hollywood, Florida 33021.
