HEAT to Release Limited Edition Comic Books

MIAMI, Mar. 10 – The Miami HEAT has teamed up with Publix and Gatorade for a three-part series of collector’s edition comic books. The Miami HEAT Comic Books will be available in both English and Spanish for a limited time and sold exclusively at South Florida Publix Supermarket locations for $2.99 each. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Miami HEAT Charitable Fund. The first issue will be available in mid-March, with the following two issues being released in April and May, respectively.

The action-adventure comic books feature Miami HEAT All-Stars Shaquille O’Neal and Dwyane Wade, along with Eddie Jones, Udonis Haslem, Michael Doleac, Damon Jones, HEAT President Pat Riley and Head Coach Stan Van Gundy.

In the first issue, entitled “The Reverse HEAT,” the HEAT players must utilize a special sphere to access their superpowers when they battle the Shadow Demon Farkas and his mutant henchmen. The villain Farkas has created evil opposites of the HEAT players, and the HEAT heroes must use teamwork and their special powers to save the day.
