HEAT Announce 2012-13 Preseason Schedule

MIAMI, August 8 – The defending NBA Champion Miami HEAT announced their 2012-13 preseason schedule today, which will be highlighted by the team’s three home games at AmericanAirlines Arena and their NBA China Games 2012 trip to Beijing and Shanghai. The HEAT will open the preseason in Atlanta on Sunday, October 7, when they take on the Atlanta Hawks, and then travel overseas for two games in China vs. the Los Angeles Clippers. The HEAT will then return home to AmericanAirlines Arena to face the Detroit Pistons on October 18 and the San Antonio Spurs on October 20. The preseason concludes with another home contest at AmericanAirlines Arena on October 26, vs. New Orleans.

Tickets for the three home games at AmericanAirlines Arena can be purchased by logging on to HEAT.com, Ticketmaster.com, by visiting any Ticketmaster outlet, or by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX. Tickets can also be purchased at the AmericanAilrines Arena Ticket office Monday through Friday from 10AM to 5PM. Ticket prices start at $10 plus applicable fees.

In addition to the three home games at AmericanAirlines Arena, the HEAT will also host a game at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO, taking on Washington on October 24. This marks the third time the HEAT will play in Kansas City. Tickets to that game are available by visiting SprintCenter.com or by calling (888) 929-7849. Miami will also play a road contest against the Charlotte Bobcats in Raleigh, NC on October 23.

Although the Miami HEAT has sold out of its existing season ticket inventory for the 2012-13 season, HEAT fans can purchase a HEAT Priority Access Club membership – an annual, fee-based membership which guarantees priority on the Season Ticket Waiting List as well as presale opportunities and discounts for the All You Can HEAT Partial Ticket Plan, individual game tickets and other benefits. Five of the HEAT’s eight preseason games will be televised. Sun Sports, the team's exclusive regional television partner, will broadcast four of the preseason games and ESPN will air the final preseason contest against New Orleans on October 26. The complete broadcast schedule for both the preseason and regular season will be released at a later date. In addition, all preseason games can be heard on WAXY 790AM, the team's flagship radio station.
