HEAT Activate Zhi-Zhi, Place Woods on the Injured List

MIAMI, April 12 - The Miami HEAT announced prior to tonight’s game at Boston that they have activated center Wang Zhi-Zhi and have placed center Loren Woods on the injured list with a lower back strain.

Zhi-Zhi, a 7’1”, 284-pound center, was placed on the injured list prior to Miami’s game at Atlanta on Mar. 31 with a right great toe turf toe. He has appeared in 13 games with the HEAT and has averaged 3.0 points, 1.1 rebounds and 7.6 minutes.

Woods, a 7’1”, 255-pound center, has appeared in 38 games this season (two starts) and has averaged 3.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 13.3 minutes.
