HEAT Activate Rasual Butler, Place Wang Zhi-Zhi on Injured List

MIAMI, Feb. 7 - Miami HEAT President Pat Riley announced prior to today’s game against New York that the HEAT has activated forward Rasual Butler from the injured list and placed center Wang Zhi-Zhi on the injured list with a sprained right ankle.

Butler, a 6’7”, 205-pound forward, was placed on the injured list on Jan. 28 with a high right groin strain. He has appeared in 16 games this season and has averaged 5.7 points, 1.4 rebounds and 14.1 minutes. Butler has also connected on 50 percent of three-point field goal attempts, connecting on 14-of-28 attempts.

Zhi-Zhi, a 7’1”, 284-pound center, suffered a sprained right ankle in practice yesterday. He has appeared in 13 games this season and has averaged 3.2 points, 1.4 rebounds and 7.8 minutes. In 11 games with the HEAT he has averaged 3.4 points, 1.3 rebounds and 8.5 minutes.
