HEAT Nation Kicks Off New Season of Inside The HEAT Episodes

MIAMI — The Miami HEAT and exclusive broadcast partner FOX’s Sun Sports begin the 10th season of their award-winning magazine show, Inside the HEAT, with a one-hour special that debuts tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m. Seizing its title from the summer momentum of a motivated fan base, HEAT Nation speaks directly to the loyal legion of HEAT followers. The comprehensive program will give fans an in-depth update on the state of the  franchise heading into a new era of HEAT basketball.

Hall-of-Famers Pat Riley and Alonzo Mourning are among those who lend their voice in narrating the moving three minute video essay that opens the program. The show also includes a feature paying tribute to the 12-year journey of two other “HEAT Lifers”—co-captains Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem. Hosted by HEAT originals Eric Reid and Tony Fiorentino, the show includes interviews with the tandem that has guided Miami to three NBA championships since they  first came together 19 seasons ago— HEAT Managing General Partner Micky Arison and HEAT President Pat Riley. Veteran Television Host and Courtside Reporter, Jason Jackson, contributes compelling interviews with franchise center, Chris Bosh, newly acquired free agent, Luol Deng, and two-time NBA Championship Head Coach, Erik Spoelstra.

HEAT Nation will enjoy multiple airings throughout October and November, including airings before and after each of the team’s first four pre-season games on Sun Sports (Oct 7th, 14th, 17th & 18th). The show is the first in an 11-episode series that will take fans behind the scenes and into the lives of many of the franchise’s principal figures. Among those to be featured in the 2014-15 season: Hall-of-Fame center, Alonzo Mourning; nine time All-Star, Chris Bosh; “Mr 305,” Udonis Haslem; Miami’s trio of new veteran additions: Luol Deng, Josh McRoberts and Danny Granger; and two-time NCAA Champion Shabazz Napier.
