HEAT to Honor Olympic Gold Medalist LeBron James

WHAT: LeBron James Olympics Banner to be Unveiled
The Miami HEAT announced today that they will honor HEAT All-Star LeBron James for helping the U.S. Men’s Senior National Team win the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England. The ceremony will take place just before the HEAT take on the Denver Nuggets. As part of the event, a new Olympic/James banner will be unveiled at the AmericanAirlines Arena, where it will be displayed alongside the Olympic banners of Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway and Dwyane Wade.

In addition, the HEAT will pay homage to the accomplishments of two other South Florida Olympians, who will attend Saturday’s game:

Danell Leyva, who won the bronze medal in the Men’s Individual All Around in Gymnastics at the London games and Justin Zook, who won the gold medal in the 100M Backstroke in Para Swimming at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.

Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 7:30 p.m. as the ceremony will begin at that time. Tickets are still available for the game and can be purchased online at HEAT.com.
