MIAMI, July 9 – The Miami HEAT released the following statement from its President of Business Operations, Eric Woolworth:
“First, this is obviously an incredibly exciting time to be a Miami HEAT fan and we’d like to thank our loyal Premium and Season Ticket Holders for their continued support and welcome all of our new Premium and Season Ticket Holders with open arms. As it relates to the barrage of media requests we are getting to discuss new sales, we have a long-standing policy of not releasing specific sales numbers. However, we can say that the sale of premium seats and season tickets over the last couple of weeks has been extremely brisk, peaking in a new intensity the last couple of days. As a result, we have sold out of our currently available season ticket inventory. Fans still interested in becoming HEAT Season Ticket Holders should call 786-777-HOOP to be placed on a waiting list as we anticipate the release of additional inventory in the near future.
“As it relates to premium seating and season ticket pricing, we announced to our market and to our Season Ticket Holders during our renewal campaign back in February that while we were holding the pricing flat for our loyal returning Season Ticket Holders, it was our intention to raise our season ticket prices for new buyers in July. We followed through with that plan and raised our prices in July, and that new pricing is attached. Additionally, we want to assure our loyal group ticket buyers that we are retaining our historical group inventory for their benefit and will honor all of the deposits that they have made. And finally, in contrast to past practice, we have determined not to sell any season tickets in our 400 level this season and will reserve that inventory for some combination of group tickets, partial plans and variably priced individual game tickets. This strategy is part of our long-standing commitment to provide access to as much of our community as possible, as well as a wide range of ticket prices to accommodate all fans looking to feel the HEAT Experience live and in person. Those seats will most likely begin to go on sale sometime after we get our schedule later in the summer. Again, thanks very much to everyone for the interest and support. Go HEAT!”
The Miami HEAT is proud to have Assist-Card as the Presenting Sponsor for the 2010-11 season.
