DIAZ Promoted to Director of Marketing Communications

MIAMI, October 12 - The 2006 NBA Champion Miami HEAT announced today the promotion of Lorrie-Ann Diaz to the position of Director of Marketing Communications.

Diaz has seen her role with The HEAT Group grow since first joining the company in 2000. Entering her seventh season, Diaz oversees all business communications of the club. She is responsible for the coordination and communications of HEAT and AmericanAirlines Arena messaging and the off-the-court initiatives for the HEAT.

Diaz first joined The HEAT Group as a Marketing Assistant and was responsible for the marketing and booking of the HEAT Entertainment Team, including the HEAT Dancers, the Xtreme Team, Burnie, the HEAT mascot, and the Fireball Express interactive vehicle. She served in that capacity for three seasons before being promoted to Manager of Advertising, where she was responsible for the creation and placement of the advertising schedules for the club.

Prior to working with the Miami HEAT, Diaz spent one season working for the Los Angeles Clippers in their sales and marketing department.

Diaz holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Master’s degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Miami. A Miami native, Diaz lives in North Miami Beach.
