HEAT Signs Contract Extension With Clear Channel Radio
As part of the agreement, WIOD and WINZ will broadcast live HEAT segments every game day during morning drive. One game each month will also be simulcast on 103.5 The Beat exposing a different audience to Miami HEAT basketball.
In addition to the radio agreement, the deal also includes a marketing agreement between the HEAT and the entire network of Clear Channel stations in South Florida including 94.9 Mega, 103.5 The Beat, Y-100, Love 93.9, News Radio 610 and Big 106.
Were really looking forward to bringing the HEAT Experience and the excitement of Miami HEAT basketball to 940 WINZ, said HEAT President of Business Operations Eric Woolworth. Clear Channel has been a great home for our radio broadcasts and were happy weve solidified that connection for many years to come.
Mike Inglis, the English radio voice of the HEAT, enters his 11th season with the team handling the play-by-play duties, while former HEAT point guard John Crotty enters his fourth full season as the analyst on the HEAT radio network. Jeremy Marks-Peltz enters his second year as host of the pre-game, half-time and post-game shows and will also host a one hour weekly talk show.
We are so excited to continue our partnership with the HEAT, said Director of Programming for WINZ and WIOD, Ken Charles. WINZ used to broadcast HEAT games during the teams early years and we welcome them back there with open arms.
