Malik Allen Undergoes Successful Surgery

MIAMI, Nov. 6 - Miami HEAT President Pat Riley announced this afternoon that forward Malik Allen underwent successful surgery this morning. Allen had surgery to remove a bone spur on his right foot. The procedure was performed by HEAT team physician Dr. Jim Losito at Mercy Hospital. Allen will be required to wear a boot and is expected to be sidelined for six-to-eight weeks.

Allen has come off the bench in each of Miami’s first five games and has averaged 4.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 17.4 minutes. He is tied for third on the team in offensive rebounds (six).
