Mar 23 2006 11:37AM
MIAMI, March 22 – Adelphia Cable in Dade County will offer six of the remaining Miami HEAT home games Sun Sports is producing and distributing in Spanish this season. These games are part of a 10-game new Spanish language telecast initiative from the Miami HEAT and Sun Sports which tipped off last month.

The six games will be available on a dedicated channel to Adelphia Cable customers on Channel 23 in South Dade County and Channel 21 in Key Biscayne.

The first Spanish-language Miami HEAT game to be offered by Adelphia will be the March 24 game vs. Charlotte (7:30pm). HEAT Spanish radio announcer Jose Paneda will handle the television play-by-play. Joe Pujala, the team’s Spanish radio host, will serve as analyst, with Raul Striker Jr. , who is also the Spanish television voice of the Florida Marlins, serving as sideline reporter and halftime host.

“By offering these Miami HEAT games in Spanish, Adelphia is addressing the ongoing needs of the growing Hispanic community,” said Anita Dorf, Adelphia's regional Vice President of Marketing. “We are pleased to collaborate with the Miami HEAT and Sun Sports in offering this type of programming.”
