HEAT To Host Youth Basketball Clinic
Special Appearances By Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers
MIAMI, FL The Miami HEAT has teamed up with Gatorade and BlueCross BlueShield of Florida to host a HEAT Youth Basketball Clinic on Tuesday, March 3 from 3:30 p.m. 5:00 p.m. at the José Martí Park Gymnasium in Miami. The clinic will be conducted by HEAT Television Analyst Tony Fiorentino and HEAT Community Affairs Liaison Wali Jones, with special appearances from HEAT players Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers.
As part of the HEAT Youth Basketball program, comprised of various youth recreational basketball leagues in South Florida, each league participant receives a free jersey and a membership card which provides a discount at Miami Hoops Gear, the official HEAT store. Select league members are also afforded the opportunity to gain excellent on and off-court basketball training and instruction from HEAT players and coaches at special basketball clinics.
Performances by Burnie and the Xtreme Team will begin at 3:30 p.m., followed by an introduction and warm-ups. The clinic is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. A Q&A session with HEAT personnel will follow after the clinic.
