HEAT to Host Open Practice

MIAMI, 10/15 – The Miami HEAT have announced that it will host the HEAT Open Practice on Thursday, October 16 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at AmericanAirlines Arena. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the event is free and open to the public. Free parking will also be made available in the P2 parking garage while space is available. HEAT fans will get a close-up look at the 2008-09 Miami HEAT, as new HEAT Head Coach Erik Spoelstra runs practice drills and other activities for the attending fans. Select lucky HEAT fans will hit the hardwood with HEAT players to participate in contests, serve as water boys / water girls, form the fan tunnel and other fun activities.

HEAT ticket sales representatives will be on hand for fans interested in purchasing Season Tickets, Group Tickets, or Partial Plan ticket packages. All fans purchasing tickets at the event will receive a free Official HEAT Fan Kit. HEAT Entertainment Team members, including the three-time “Most Popular Dance Team in the NBA” Miami HEAT Dancers, the Xtreme Team, Burnie, the HEAT mascot, Michael B. and Dale, the Mayor of Uptown, will also be on hand to create the HEAT Experience. Miami Hoops Gear merchandise will also be on sale for HEAT fans looking for the latest HEAT fashions, including jerseys for HEAT rookie Michael Beasley.
