Miami held the lead after three quarters of play, but couldn't close it out in the final moments of Monday's 88-82 loss to Detroit in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Shaquille O'Neal posted a team-high 27 points to go with nine rebounds, and Dwyane Wade, who played with a rib strain, scored 20 for the HEAT, who enjoyed their best season since 1997 when they last reached the East finals.
