Michael Beasley was hot off the bench Friday with 23 points in Atlanta, but that and 21 points from Dwyane Wade were not enough to prevent a 91-83 loss to the Hawks. In a game where everybody had a hard time scoring in a first half that saw both teams combine for just 68 points, Wade added a game-high 10 assists and Udonis Haslem and Jermaine O'Neal had 11 rebounds each.

The HEAT beat their Eastern Conference rival Atlanta Hawks at home on Monday, hammering them 95-79. All-Star guard Dwyane Wade had 35 points and Udonis Haslem (eight points) added 13 assists as the HEAT held off a late-game Hawks surge. Michael Beasley left in the second quarter with a knee contusion and did not return.

The HEAT controlled momentum early, but couldn't sustain it in the second half as their four-game winning streak was snapped with Friday's 87-73 defeat to the visiting Hawks. Dwyane Wade led Miami, which did not have Michael Beasley (flu-like symptoms), with 21 points.
