Dwyane Wade had a terrific all-around game Wednesday with 29 points, seven rebounds, six assists, five steals and three blocks as the HEAT rolled to a 106-83 home victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
The HEAT scored the first five points in overtime, but went scoreless the rest of the extra period en route to a 101-96 loss to the visiting Sixers on Saturday. Dwyane Wade scored a game-high 33 points.
Looking for a breakthrough road win, the HEAT held the lead late in the third quarter Thursday at Philadelphia. Down to eight healthy players, they could not complete the deal in a 101-84 loss. Dwyane Wade collected 19 points and nine assists and Mark Blount and Dorell Wright had double-doubles. New acquisitions Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks are expected to make their debuts Sunday vs. the Lakers.

The Philadelphia 76ers were handed their worst loss of the season against the Miami HEAT with a 101-69 defeat at the AmericanAirlines Arena. Dwyane Wade and Eddie Jones lead the HEAT with 17 points apiece. Philadelphia started the game flat by scoring only 30 points in the first half as the HEAT took a 43-30 lead into halftime. The Sixers closed the gap to five in the third period with 3:33 to play, but Miami would go on to shot 65 percent in the final 12 minutes of action while Philadelphia went 3-of-20 (13 percent) from the field to outscore the Sixers 30-10 in the final stanza.
Aaron McKie scored 20 points and led a third-quarter rally and Korver scored all seven of his points in a fourth-quarter surge as the 76ers rolled to an 87-76 victory over the HEAT, who had their four-game winning streak snapped. The 76ers again won without NBA leading scorer Allen Iverson, improving to 3-1 without their injured superstar. They have won 10 of their last 11 meetings with Miami. Rookie Dwyane Wade scored 22 points and Eddie Jones added 20.
Allen Iverson scored 35 points that included a 16-of-17 effort from the free-throw line as the Philadelphia 76ers held off a late HEAT rally to record a 93-90 victory at the AmericanAirlines Arena. Miami, who trailed by as many as 19 points in the game trailed 73-54 in the third quarter got within one point at 91-90 with 39.1 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, but Iverson nailed a jumper on the ensuing Philadelphia possession to extend the lead to three-points. Miami had two more chances to close to within one or win the game. On the first chance, following an Eric Snow missed lay-up, Brian Grant’s outlet pass to Eddie Jones sailed out of bounds with 5.4 seconds left to play. The game seemed all but secured for Philadelphia until Snow mishandled the inbound pass, giving the HEAT one last breath. Lamar Odom’s three-point try from the top of the key fell short and the 76ers escaped with the win. Dwyane Wade led the HEAT in scoring with 21 points followed by Jones with 20 points and Odom with 19 points. Odom also added 12 rebounds for his seventh double-double of the season. Grant chipped in with 11 points.

their current win streak over Miami to five consecutive wins. Dwyane Wade, who made his NBA debut for Miami, led the team in scoring with 18
points and became the youngest ever rookie to start on opening night for the HEAT. He was followed in scoring by Eddie Jones and Brian Grant who
added 15 and 13 points respectively. John Wallace chipped in with nine points off the bench in his HEAT debut.

The Miami HEAT needed overtime on Tuesday night to record a win in its preseason opener over the Philadelphia
76ers at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum. Miami defeated Philadelphia 86-79 on the strength of a 25-point effort from Eddie Jones and 18 points
each from Lamar Odom and rookie Dwyane Wade. The HEAT however, would not have been in a position to win, if not for two clutch free-throws by
Loren Woods to force the overtime period. Woods finished the game with just four-points, all from the free-throw line, including 11 rebounds and two
steals. With the Heat trailing, 77-75, in the final 22.3 seconds of the fourth quarter.
Allen Iverson scored 32 points, connecting on 13-of-25 shot attempts in leading the Philadelphia 76ers to a 103-83 win over the HEAT at AmericanAirlines Arena. With Tuesday’s win, Philadelphia recorded their first regular season sweep of Miami since the 1989-90 season. The Sixers shot a sizzling 55 percent from the field on 43-of-77 shot attempts, including an even hotter percentage from the three-point
line at 63 percent (7-of-11). HEAT rookie Caron Butler scored a career-high 26 points to lead Miami, who fell behind 28-18 after the first quarter. No other HEAT starter reached double figure scoring and only Vladimir Stepania’s 14 points represented the HEAT’s next highest scorer off the bench. Brian Grant pulled down 11 rebounds, but scored only eight points.
Keith Van Horn scored 33 points and Allen Iverson chipped in with 25 points to lead Philadelphia to a 104-99
victory over the HEAT. The Sixers have won all three meetings over Miami this season with one game remaining on March 18. Philadelphia led by as many as 18 points in the game, after jumping out to an early 11 point lead after one quarter and a 10 point lead into halftime. The Sixers would extend the deficit to 14 points with 10:05 remaining in the third quarter at 63-49, but the HEAT clawed back to close the score at 76-72 by the end of the period. Eddie Jones connected on a three-pointer to open the fourth quarter, that pushed him past the 10,000 point for his career and cut the Sixers lead to 76-75. Miami tied the score three times with last tie coming at 83-83 with 5:44 left to play. An 8-0 scoring run with 3:26 remaining in the period extended the lead to 92-83. Miami pulled to within five points (93-88) with :41 seconds remaining, but got no closer.
Allen Iverson hit a fallaway jumper in the lane with 42 remaining to snap a tie as the Sixers recorded a 97-91 victory over the Miami HEAT to avoid falling to .500. Keith Van Horn scored 26 points and Iverson 25 for Philadelphia, (23-21), which closed the game with a 9-1 spurt after Eddie Jones' layup gave the HEAT a 90-88 lead with 1:29 remaining. Van Horn's jump hook tied the game with 1:14 remaining and, following a Miami's turnover, Iverson's basket gave the Sixers the lead for good. Van Horn and Eric Snow each hit a pair from the line to make it 96-91 with 27 seconds left. Derrick Coleman sealed the victory when he blocked rookie Caron Butler's layup on Miami's ensuing possession, then converted 1-of-2 from the line to complete the scoring. The Sixers shot 80 percent from the line, making 28-of-35, including 11-of-13 in the final period. Jones scored 26 points and Butler added 22 for Miami, which fell to 1-1 on a four-game homestand.

The deficit ballooned to 17 points in the third quarter. Miami trailed 56-39 with 6:40 remaining in the period, before the HEAT rallied to tie the score at 68-68 with 7:18 left in the fourth quarter. Iverson would score the next five points to extend the lead to 73-68, as Miami scored only six points the rest of the way. The HEAT shot 37 percent from the field and 14 percent from the three-point line. Despite outrebounding Philadelphia 48-41, the HEAT committed 17 turnovers en-route to its third lowest points output of the season. Brian Grant led the HEAT with 17 points and 18 rebounds, followed by Eddie Jones with 16 points and Eddie House’s 11 points off the bench. Malik Allen recorded 12 rebounds and three blocked shots, but managed only eight points. Travis Best and rookie Caron Butler combined to score only nine points, connecting on 3-of-15 shot attempts.
Best was 2-of-7 from the field, while Butler was 1-of-8. Anthony Carter, who saw his first action in five games, led the HEAT with five assists.
