After charging to an eight-point lead early Saturday night, the HEAT couldn't hold off the resurgent Bobcats and fell 94-82 in Charlotte. Jason Williams led Miami with 19 points and eight assists while Ricky Davis had 15 points and nine rebounds. Chris Quinn chipped in 14 points.

Charlotte held the HEAT to just 33 second-half points and 37.5 percent shooting from the field for the game, as the Bobcats defeated the HEAT, 82-72, at AmericanAirlines Arena. Charlotte’s Emeka Okafor tied for the team lead with 16 points, as five Bobcats scored in double-figures. Charlotte led by six, 45-39, at halftime and stretched their lead in the third quarter to 20 with tough defense. The HEAT turned the ball over six times and shot just 15 percent from the field (2-for-13) during the third and was outscored 23-9 in the quarter’s last seven minutes. The HEAT did gain some ground in the fourth, going on a 17-7 run with 5:15 remaining, but Charlotte defense allowed only one field goal for the rest of the contest to send Miami to its second-straight loss of the preseason.
Rasual Butler came off the bench to score a career-high 25 points, and the HEAT jumped out to an 11-point lead at halftime in Tuesday's 99-80 win over the Bobcats. Butler, who played just 16 minutes, went 11-for-14 from the field for Miami.

Miami had one last chance to win or tie the game. Wade, who pulled the HEAT to within two by knocking down one of two free throws, grabbed the rebound from his missed free throw, but his 3-pointer at the buzzer missed the mark.

consecutive victory with a 97-87 win over the Charlotte Bobcats at the Charlotte Coliseum. Miami trailed at halftime, 40-38, but got things going
midway through the third quarter, going on an 18-4 run to take a 71-57 lead with 54 seconds left in the period. The Bobcats got back to within five
points, 92-87, with 1:49 left in the game on a jumper by Jason Kapono, but Charlotte did not score again, missing their next five field goals. Damon
Jones scored 22 points and dished out a game-high eight assists while going 6-for-8 from 3-point territory.

his 16 first-half points during the HEAT’s late-quarter run. The HEAT led by as many as 24 points, but Jason Kapono’s 3-pointer trimmed the
Bobcats’ deficit to 15 late in the fourth period. The HEAT responded with an 11-2 run to secure the win.
