• Sports Media Relations Manager


Nick Maiorana enters his 15th season with the HEAT organization and his 13th as a member of the Sports Media Relations department. He is responsible for writing team press releases, game notes, credentialing media and assisting the department with numerous interview requests as well as some team traveling duties throughout the season. He also serves as assistant editor of the team’s publications including the media guide, preseason guide and postseason guide. In addition to his daily responsibilities, he created and maintains the HEAT’s photo archive with over 28 years of historical images.

During the summer of 2012, Maiorana was promoted to Sports Media Relations Manager after serving as an assistant for eight years. In 2009 he was named the Assistant Media Coordinator for the first and second round games of the NCAA Tournament held at the AmericanAirlines Arena as he was pivotal in meeting NCAA protocols while coordinating interviews and event staff duties.

The Miami native originally joined the HEAT as an intern in 2002 before being named Sports Media Relations Assistant in 2004. A graduate of Florida International University, Maiorana and his wife, Evelyn, reside in Miami with their daughter, Julianne.
