ROB WILSON
DIRECTOR OF SPORTS MEDIA RELATIONS
Rob Wilson begins his seventh season with the HEAT and his fourth as Director of Sports Media Relations. He originally joined the HEAT as Assistant Director of Sports Media Relations in August of 1999 before after being promoted to his current position in September of 2002. Wilson is responsible for the HEAT’s day-to-day and game-night media operations and assists Vice President, Sports Media Relations Tim Donovan with daily player and coach interviews. In addition, he travels with the team and serves as a media liaison on the road. Wilson has also served as the editor of the HEAT Media Guide and the HEAT postseason guide for each of the past six seasons. A Villanova University graduate, Wilson has spent 22 years in professional or collegiate athletics. He began his career as a student manager at Villanova from 1982-1986 and was a member of the staff when the Wildcats captured the 1985 NCAA Championship. After graduation, he served as public relations intern for one season at the Big East Conference in 1987-88. From 1988-93, he was the sports information director at Drexel University before joining the public relations staff of the Philadelphia Phillies in August of 1993, just two months before their World Series appearance.
