Avid HEAT Fans Carlos Farha and Matt Garver didn’t realize that when they simply dialed 786-777-FANS they would enjoy an out-of-this-world lunch break to remember – courtesy of the Miami HEAT. Breaking up the daily grind, HEAT players Eddie Jones and Bimbo Coles, accompanied by the HEAT Dancers and Burnie the HEAT mascot, stunned the two co-workers as the HEAT crew entered their Miami office to personally deliver lunch for them and the whole staff.

“It’s nice to come out and visit with the real, true fans. The HEAT is in their heart, and I love to do things like this for such loyal fans,” said Jones. “It’s a great situation to be going out and visiting different places, mingling with people and talking about the upcoming season with them.”

Farha and Garver were the lucky recipients of this HEAT treat after answering one of two local billboards reading “Are You a HEAT Fan?” followed by the phone number 786-777-FANS. Creating excitement as the HEAT season approaches, the campaign is generating a buzz around town. As passersby call in to get the scoop, they are eligible for special HEAT visits, and all callers can look forward to receiving HEAT goodies by mail.

“This is absolutely amazing, what a way to kick off the season,” said Garver. “Words can’t explain how excited we are about this surprise. I mean, to have Eddie Jones, Bimbo Coles and the HEAT Dancers here at our work – you can’t ask for much more. The HEAT is really bringing back faith in Miami.”
