Rush Hour with the HEAT

Sep 30 2005 1:36PM
MIAMI, September 30 – The Miami HEAT has teamed up with the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority and will be paying the toll expenses for all vehicles traveling through the Eastbound 836 Toll Plaza between the hours of 7-9AM on Monday, October 3. HEAT rookies Matt Walsh and Earl Barron, along with the HEAT Dancers, the Xtreme Team and Burnie, the HEAT mascot, will be stationed in each of the tollbooths during those hours, greeting commuters and distributing pocket schedules and car flags. The tollbooth location is just past the N.W. 27th Avenue exit when heading east. This marks the third consecutive year in which the HEAT has eased the morning commute by picking up the cost of the tolls at the Eastbound 836 Toll Plaza.

The goodwill gesture from the HEAT serves as a reminder that individual game tickets for the 2005-06 season go on sale Tuesday, October 4 at 10:00AM. Fans can purchase HEAT tickets by visiting Ticketmaster Outlets, logging on to ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX.
