HEAT Learn to Swim

Jul 10 2012 11:54AM

With beaches, pools, lakes, and canals surrounding us, living in South Florida can be lots of fun, but it can also be a dangerous place. Drowning ranks #1 in fatalities among children under the age of five in Florida. The Miami HEAT and Florida Blue have teamed up to lead our summer long water safety campaign – HEAT Learn to Swim. This year we are looking to create an event greater splash in our community. Just as the HEAT team’s mission on-the-court is to strive for a championship, the Miami HEAT’s off-the-court mission this summer is to make a noticeable impact in water safety via numerous efforts:

  • $10 OFF swim lesson coupons are now available and can be redeemed at select American Red Cross certified learn to swim locations (please refer to Directories).
  • HEAT Summer Tour: HEAT players, Burnie, Dancers & Xtreme Team will visit numerous learn to swim locations throughout Miami-Dade & Broward Counties and pay surprise visits to children as they undergo instruction. These visits will serve to applaud their effort and encourage them to pass the Learn to Swim message on to their peers.

Below please find a complete directory of American Red Cross certified learn to swim locations throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties.
