HEAT Head Coach Pat Riley

On the game:
“We had a bad run there for about six or seven minutes where we couldn’t buy a basket. They got ahead by 15 on us, or 16 on us, then we had a two, or three or four minute break on us which got us right back into the game really quick. We had a couple bad possessions at the end -plus you’re in that desperation fouling mode. I thought Ricky [Davis] did a great job taking the ball to the basket twice which is what we wanted to do. We had that one possession where we probably should have taken a time out. We didn’t get a good shot on it. That was pretty much the ball game.”

On the HEAT being down 14 in the fourth quarter and having an 11-0 run:
“The last three games have all been losses. They’ve been hard earned losses. People on talk shows ridicule them, call them names, whatever it is, people in the media, the whole thing. They’re out there busting their tails. Some nights we get buried. Then we’ll come back and play three games like this. Like anybody else, they get discouraged. So they’ll have to come back against Orlando. It’s been like that pretty much all year. This has been the eleventh game this year that we’ve lost by three.”

On Bobby Jones’ play:
“We got to see him. Ricky [Davis] and Daequan [Cook] can’t play 48 minutes. I wanted to keep Shawn [Marion] at the four spot. He’s just more comfortable there. He [Bobby Jones] had a couple of minutes, a couple of moments, but the guy just came in here at five o’clock tonight, so he doesn’t know anything we are doing. We’ll give him a good look for 10 days.”

On Coach Riley’s scouting:
“No I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing. I’m not looking for any breaks. I’m not taking any hiatus. I’m multitasking. Someone asked me the other day, ‘Well, wouldn’t you want to concentrate on doing one job good?’ Well, it sure as hell ain’t coaching. I haven’t done that good all year. So why wouldn’t I get out and do the other job that I’m pretty good at doing. Right now there is a necessity.”

On Chris Quinn’s play:
"Chris Quinn right now, of all the players we have on our team, is one of the most efficient players across the board - field goal percentage, true field goal percentage, three point percentage. The last five minutes of the game he doesn’t get a lot of minutes, but in the last five minutes of the game he shoots the best percentage of any of our perimeter players. I love Chris. He works hard. He’s got a dream that’s real big. A lot of people always slight him and look at him like a choir boy, but he’ll drill you right in your heart. We’re fortunate to have a kid like that around, a high quality kid.”

HEAT Guard Ricky Davis

On the game:
“This is an opportunity for other guys, young guys, to come in and get some experience. It’s tough being in this type of situation, but it is what it is. I’m going to go out there and play every game no matter how many games we lost.”

“Guys are playing good. Sometimes we find a good chemistry on the floor and we play good ball. It’s just a matter of us going out there and doing it the whole 48 minutes.”

On the team:
“We put ourselves in this position. We have to get ourselves out of this position.”

HEAT Guard Chris Quinn

On the game:
“Guys are still playing and have a lot of pride still. We are all NBA basketball players. We want to come out here and compete every day no matter what the situation. The only thing we can do is play as hard as possible.”

“There are no moral victories. We expect to win.”

HEAT Forward Bobby Jones

On the game:
“My strengths are defense, rebounding, and running the court. What ever the coaches needs me to do, that’s it.”

“I was a little nervous, a little timid; I didn’t know exactly how to make an impact on the game. As the second half came along I felt more comfortable.”

Knicks Head Coach Isiah Thomas

On the Game:
“We want to try to win every basketball game. I think our guys played hard. For the first half, I thought [Wilson Chandler] struggled a little bit with [Ricky] Davis. I thought Fred [Jones] then came in and did a good job on [Davis] defensively. Jared [Jeffries] came in and gave us some nice minutes. I think David [Lee] did a good job matching [Shawn] Marion. Even though Marion has the quickness advantage on him, I think he did a pretty good job.”

On the play of Wilson Chandler:
“I want him to get used to playing the best players and play the two and the three positions. I want him to get used to having him compete there.”

Knicks Guard Fred Jones

On the game:
“I just tried to give a spark. They put me in the game to try to play some defense. I didn’t do a good job with that, but I was able to knock down some shots and help us out tonight.”

“We just got in our positions and knocked down shots. We really weren’t getting any stops, and we were trading baskets a little bit, but we never let them get back and come back and take the lead. We kept our composure, we knocked down some shots, we missed a lot of them in the closing minutes, but we made enough to win.”

Knicks Guard Jamal Crawford

On the game:
“I missed the free throw at the end and they just came back. You have got to give Miami credit. They played hard. They’re shorthanded and they’re still playing hard. We played hard as well and came out with the win.”

“(The third quarter) gave us a little bit of a cushion, but you can’t relax with a team like that. Like I said, they played very, very hard.”

“It’s still a win. We’ll take it. We need all the wins we can get right now. We’re not going to make it to the playoffs, but we’re trying to finish up the season strong right now.”

Knicks Forward Zach Randolph

On the game:
“We got stops. Everybody contributed tonight. Nate (Robinson) had a great game, Jamal (Crawford) had a great game.”

“We just stuck together. We came out early and took the lead and we just kept playing hard and stuck together and tried to pull it out. And that’s what we did.”

“It was great to win. We haven’t won in a long time and we’ll try to get one next game.”
