February 21, 2008 | Toyota Center | Miami HEAT - 100 | Houston Rockets - 112

HEAT Head Coach Pat Riley

On the game:
"We got off to a real bad start. They (Rockets) were really hyped up and really prepared to play. We made a good run but we were constantly climbing up a hill all game. Our guys played real hard the last three quarters. Houston really shot the ball well. I think Rafer (Alston), Tracy (McGrady) and Yao (Ming) at half time had only missed four shots. It's tough to stop them when they are shooting the ball so well."

On Carl Landry's play:
"He played hard and played well and that's what he's all about. He replaced Chuck Hayes and we know he is all about energy and hustle. And that says a lot about the kind of player he (Carl Landry) is."

HEAT Forward Shawn Marion

On the game:
on the game) "We dug a hole that was too deep and it is hard to come back. We had to exert so much energy in the comeback and we ran out of gas. We cut it down to eight in the fourth quarter but we couldn't make some stops and get back into the game."

On the Rockets:
"They were on fire in the first quarter. They were hitting jumpers and you have to give them credit, they shot the eyes out in the first quarter."

On the Heat's play:
"When you are used to winning you feel you can win all the games. We have to stay together as a team. We are kind of lifeless out there and we have to bust through this and things can turn around. It's hard to keep your morale up when you are losing. It can be a long season and I'm going to do my best to turn things around."

HEAT Guard Dwyane Wade

On what happened with the team's play:
"It was a combination of a lot of things. They got into a comfort zone and they picked up their confidence and shot the ball so well in the first half." On Shane Battier's defense against him:
"I'm just thankful that I am not going to have to see him again this year, so hopefully I can stay healthy. He is a good defender and he makes you earn every point. He's very tough."

Houston Rockets Head Coach Rick Adelman

On the game;
“Dwyane Wade took over on their side of it, and we are not getting enough production from other people. We have to find a way to involve other people. They are taking the ball out of Tracy’s [McGrady] hands, and we got to make plays. We got to find a way. Dwyane Wade made some tough shots; tough drives, and Shaq [O’Neal] was, you know, we could not keep him out; he just got so deep and so low, you know, we thought we would do a better job of keeping him out of the paint. ”
“They are basically doubling Tracy, and you know, we are going to have to find a way to create better shot attempts. But, it came down to the end that we never really made a shot down the stretch.”
“There is no easy way out of this. We are going to have to keep working at it until we break through and try to turn it and go the other way. We have to re-evaluate what we are doing. We play right away tomorrow against a good team, so there is no rest.”

Rockets Guard Tracy McGrady

On whether the trades were distracting:
"From what I got from my team, we didn't think about it. We all know the nature of this business -- it happens. We had a game to play. We had to be professional about it and go out and play the game, so we didn't think about it."

On whether the team feels comfortable in going to Carl Landry in certain circumstances:
"We have confidence in him. He's a guy that somehow, some way can read defenses. We know where he's going to be, he's not afraid. That's the most important thing -- you have a rookie out there and he might be a little tentative and hesitant out there on the basketball court, but not him. He's not afraid, he finishes well, has great hands and he plays hard. He's going to be one hell of a player."

On keeping the winning streak alive:
"We're playing well. I tell these guys all the time -- don't get tired of winning ball games. This fun, everyone is feeling great, everyone is comfortable, we're relaxed. When you're playing that way and everyone is contributing, even the guys that are not contributing, everyone is upbeat. This is the way it should be. It's fun to be playing the game right now."

Rockets Center Yao Ming

On answering Miami's 4th quarter run:
"This season, we lost a couple of games in the 4th quarter when we had, like, 10 point leads. We learned from those experiences and it should not happen a lot. Tonight we hung in there and pushed them back and we brought a win home." On the Rockets' playing a game following today's trades:
"It was a strange day. We had only 11 players today and we didn't have much of a bench. Hopefully, the new guys will come in quickly and give us a lift."

On the 10-game winning streak:
"It feels great. A 10-game winning streak. When I walk out of this building tonight, I think I will feel very fresh."
